…Women pledge door-to-door campaign for President, APC candidates
The Director of Women Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, has mobilised thousands of women in Kwara South Senatorial District in support of President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.

The mobilisation, held in Offa, the headquarters of Kwara South, was said to be part of an ongoing 176,846-community activation exercise across the country aimed at strengthening grassroots support for the President and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The exercise was coordinated by Edu’s Honorary Assistant, Hon. Taiye Mutiat Omotosho.
Addressing the women on behalf of Edu, Omotosho, who is also the APC House of Assembly candidate for Offa II State Constituency covering Essa, Shawo and Igboidun, said women across Kwara South were prepared to mobilise support for Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.

She said the mobilisation was carried out on the directive of Edu as part of efforts to build a strong grassroots women network ahead of the 2027 polls.
“I mobilised these thousands of women you are seeing here today on the directive of my boss and Director of Women Mobilisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, for the re-election and continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in office till 2031,” Omotosho quoted Edu as saying.
She said the women would commence door-to-door canvassing and grassroots mobilisation once they received the go-ahead from the campaign leadership.
“We will begin our door-to-door canvassing and mobilisation as soon as we have the go-ahead from her,” she added.
Omotosho further disclosed that Edu would personally visit the district to interact with the women and communicate the administration’s Renewed Hope 2.0 agenda.
“Dr Betta asked me to inform you that she is coming in person to address you and bring the message of Renewed Hope 2.0 of Mr President and his beautiful, hardworking wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to you all,” she said.
The coordinator said the women were fully committed to working for the re-election of Tinubu and the success of APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
“We are 100 per cent committed, and we are working for Dr Betta and Asiwaju’s re-election as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she said.
The women responded enthusiastically to the call, reaffirming their support for Tinubu and the APC.
They pledged to take the mobilisation beyond the gathering by reaching women in communities, wards and polling units across Kwara South.
The participants also expressed their readiness to embark on door-to-door engagement to canvass support for the President and other APC candidates ahead of the elections.
They maintained that women would play a significant role in determining the outcome of the 2027 elections, particularly through grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement.
Omotosho thanked the participants for their turnout and urged them to sustain the momentum generated by the mobilisation.
She called for unity, commitment and continued engagement at the grassroots, stressing that the Offa mobilisation was only the beginning of a broader effort to strengthen the APC women’s structure across Kwara State.
She said the initiative would also contribute to the wider national women mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The organisers said the exercise would continue with further engagements aimed at consolidating support for Tinubu and the APC across communities in Kwara State and other parts of the country.
