Raheem Okoya, popularly known as Siraheem, son of Nigerian billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, has announced his decision to quit the music industry, saying he can no longer give the career the effort, patience and dedication it deserves.
Siraheem announced his decision in an Instagram post on Wednesday, describing his years in music as a “magical” journey filled with memorable performances, recognition from artistes he admired and experiences he would cherish for the rest of his life.

The singer said his music career started as a hobby with his friends, primarily as a means of bonding and connecting, before it gradually evolved into a professional pursuit.
However, he explained that balancing music with his other commitments had become increasingly difficult over the past year.
He said he had always believed in giving his endeavours his best but had reached a point where he no longer felt capable of giving music the level of effort, patience and dedication it deserved.
Siraheem said his decision to stop releasing new music was also motivated by his desire to give his fans and colleagues in the industry a “professional exit.”
He wrote, “I owe it to my true fans, and to my colleagues in this industry a professional exit. I have decided to stop putting out new music.”
The singer expressed gratitude to his fans, colleagues and those who supported his career financially and otherwise, saying he was thankful for the opportunity to pursue one of his dreams.
While announcing his exit from active music, Siraheem said his creative journey was far from over, revealing plans to explore other fields.
According to him, the end of the “Siraheem music” era does not signal the end of his creativity as he remains eager to take on new challenges and ventures.
“The future stays positive. I have plans to diversify my creative palette into other fields and I will be back with new ventures,” he said.
He added, “The best of me is yet to come.”
Despite his decision to stop putting out new music, Siraheem suggested that his music career may not be permanently over.
He revealed that he had spent the past year working on an album and believed the material was the best of his career.
The singer said music remained therapeutic for him and hinted that the album could eventually be released.
“Music still remains therapeutic for me. With time, maybe the album finds its way into the world somehow after all,” he said.
He added that it would be a shame not to share the material, while leaving the possibility of a return to music open.
“Who knows what the future still holds. Never say never,” Siraheem stated.
He concluded his message by thanking his community and two individuals identified as Mr. Fantasy and Mr. Miyagi for being part of what he described as an unforgettable year.
