Nigerian music promoter and socialite, Sam Larry, has reportedly been hospitalised following a road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos State.
The crash, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday, involved the vehicle conveying the music promoter and a trailer. According to reports, the vehicle collided with the trailer, leaving it extensively damaged.
The accident also reportedly claimed the life of Sam Larry’s bouncer, who was said to have died at the scene.
Videos and photographs circulating on social media showed the badly damaged vehicle, with severe front-end impact suggesting the force of the collision.
The incident attracted widespread attention after comedian and master of ceremonies, Mario Wazobia, shared posts on his Instagram page urging Nigerians to pray for the music promoter.
In one of the posts, Mario Wazobia wrote, “Pray for Sam Larry,” while another indicated that the music promoter had been rushed to a hospital for medical treatment following the crash.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Sam Larry’s family nor his management had issued an official statement on his health condition.
Similarly, the Lagos State Police Command and other relevant emergency agencies had yet to release an official account of the accident or confirm the reported death of the bouncer.
The incident has since sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms, with fans, colleagues and well-wishers expressing sympathy and offering prayers for Sam Larry’s recovery while mourning the reported loss of his aide.
