A Lagos-based father, Samuel Alozie, has called for an independent investigation after his nine-month-old identical twin sons reportedly died less than 24 hours after receiving routine immunisation at a primary healthcare facility in Ojo Local Government Area of the state.
The bereaved father, who is known on TikTok as Promise Samuel, said the twins, Timothy and Testimony were taken to the Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre on December 24, 2025, for their scheduled immunisation. According to him, the children became severely weak shortly after the injections and showed unusual symptoms until they passed away on Christmas Day.

The incident drew widespread public attention on Wednesday after Alozie shared a distressing video online showing the remains of the twins in separate body bags. In the video, he alleged that the injections administered at the health centre were responsible for their deaths.
In a subsequent video statement, Alozie recounted that the twins appeared healthy before the hospital visit but became lethargic immediately afterward. He said they could neither eat nor play as they normally would. Acting on advice from the attending nurse, he and his wife administered paracetamol and bathed the children in an attempt to reduce their body temperature, but their condition did not improve.
“They were very weak after the injection,” Alozie said. “By the morning of December 25, both of them had died. They died at the same time.”
The father alleged possible medical negligence, raising concerns that the children may have been given expired vaccines, counterfeit drugs, or an overdose. He also claimed that the nurse who administered the injections was not the usual health worker who had previously attended to his children.
Alozie further alleged that deworming medication was given to the infants without his knowledge or consent, questioning the appropriateness of such treatment for nine-month-old babies.
He rejected an initial explanation allegedly offered by health officials that the deaths were caused by food-related bacteria, insisting that the twins had been fed the same meals since birth without complications.
Since the incident, an autopsy has reportedly been conducted, but Alozie expressed fears that the outcome could be influenced to shield the government-owned health facility. He appealed publicly for legal assistance, saying he lacks the financial means to pursue justice on his own.
“I just want the truth,” he said. “These children were not sick. I did what every responsible parent would do by taking them for immunisation.”
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Lagos State Ministry of Health nor the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board had released an official statement on the incident or confirmed the cause of death.
