Folarin, Adelabu, Alli, Agbaje, and Other APC Leaders Unite to Deliver Record Votes for Tinubu in Oyo 2027

Top All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Oyo State, led by former Senate leader Senator Teslim Folarin, have resolved to work together for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, promising to deliver unprecedented votes in the state during the 2027 general elections.

The unity rally, which held at multiple locations across Ibadan on Monday, saw senior party figures put aside personal differences to focus on the party’s collective goal. Speaking at the event, Folarin, who also serves as the Ambassador for the Renewed Hope Agenda in Oyo State, said the Federal Constituency Tour, organized by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in collaboration with the Oyo APC, was designed to strengthen cohesion, rebuild confidence within party structures, and lay a solid foundation for disciplined mobilisation ahead of the polls.

“Ibadan is the political nerve centre of the South-West. Oyo State proved its strength in 2023 by giving Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the highest differential votes nationwide. In 2027, we are ready to raise the bar and deliver record votes for Mr President,” Folarin stated.

The rally was attended by the former First Lady of Oyo State, Florence Ajimobi; Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; Senators Sharafadeen Alli, Abdulfatai Buhari, Yunus Akintunde, Femi Lanlehin, and Ayo Adeseun; Barrister Hosea Agboola; Kola Balogun; Alhaji Olayide Abass; Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle; Barrister Akeem Agbaje; and other key stakeholders of the party.

In her remarks, Mrs. Ajimobi urged party leaders and members to remain united, noting that cohesion and discipline are vital for sustaining APC’s strength in Oyo State. She added that such engagements provide opportunities to reconnect with the grassroots and consolidate support for President Tinubu.

Senators Buhari, Alli, and Akintunde described the Federal Constituency Tour as timely, saying it has helped rebuild confidence within party structures. They also called for intensified voter registration and continuous voter registration (CVR) to ensure early preparedness for 2027.

Chief Adebayo Adelabu lauded the APC’s open-air meeting and stressed the importance of unity, early reconciliation, and disciplined mobilisation. “Our party leaders and members are happy, morale is high, and everyone is motivated to work hard ahead of 2027 to ensure that our President is returned for a second term,” he said.

Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a 2027 gubernatorial aspirant, emphasized that the APC is united and ready to go to the polls. “There is no crisis in the APC. We are fully united as a party, and we are all standing together in support of Asiwaju for a second term,” he stated.

The Oyo State Chairman of the APC, Pharm. Olayide Abass, alongside Hon. Remi Oseni, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Engr. Idris Adeoye, former Minister Adebayo Shittu, and other party chieftains, called for coordinated voter education, continuous registration, and early mobilisation as critical steps for electoral success.

The ongoing Federal Constituency Tour covers Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East and Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituencies and is part of APC’s strategy to consolidate support and ensure disciplined grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
