Agoro of Okakaland, Femi Durodola, Congratulates Florence Ajimobi on Ambassadorial Nomination

The Agoro of Okakaland, Chief Femi Durodola, has congratulated former Oyo State First Lady, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, on her recent nomination as a non-career ambassador by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the development as “a fitting honour for a woman of influence, compassion and exceptional leadership.”

Chief Durodola, in a statement on Monday, said Mrs. Ajimobi’s selection reflects the federal government’s recognition of her long-standing contributions to humanitarian work, women empowerment, and community development across Oyo State and Nigeria.

He noted that her nomination did not come as a surprise to those who have followed her service-oriented engagements over the years.

According to him, Mrs. Ajimobi has consistently demonstrated dignity in public life, strength in adversity, and a rare commitment to charitable causes qualities he believes will further enhance Nigeria’s representation on the global stage if she is confirmed by the Senate.

“Mrs. Florence Ajimobi embodies grace, discipline, and a remarkable spirit of service,” Chief Durodola stated.

“Her ambassadorial nomination is well-deserved, and it is also a proud moment for Oyo State. I am confident she will bring honour to Nigeria and represent the nation with the same dedication she has shown in her philanthropic and public engagements,” the political technocrat Durodola said.

He added that her emergence sends a positive message to women and young people across the country, showing that service to community and nation can open doors to greater responsibilities.

Chief Durodola urged the Senate to give her nomination favourable consideration, noting that her wealth of experience, global exposure, and interpersonal skill set will serve Nigeria’s diplomatic interests effectively.

He prayed for her continued strength, wisdom, and success as she prepares to take on her new national assignment.
