‘We Will Kidnap President Tinubu In Days Ahead’ – Terrorist Commander Brags

An unidentified terrorist commander has issued fresh threats against Nigeria’s top political and security leadership, boasting about recent mass abductions in Kebbi and Niger states and vowing to escalate attacks in the coming days.

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the militant, dressed in what appeared to be a Nigerian military jacket claimed responsibility for last week’s abduction of schoolchildren in both states. He warned that his group would soon begin kidnapping military officers, state governors and even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest,” he said.

Pointing to the jacket he wore, he continued: “Look at the clothes I am wearing — they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”

The militant insisted his group was not deterred by recent arrests made by security agencies, claiming that the government had failed in its responsibility to protect citizens.

“The government cannot secure you. You people should return to God to protect you and wipe your tears,” he declared, before signing off with a message to his online followers.

The threat video comes amid a rise in coordinated attacks on schools in northern Nigeria.

On Friday, November 21, armed men stormed St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, abducting students and teachers. The attack, which occurred between 2am and 3am, was confirmed by local officials, including Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, Head of Disaster and Relief for Agwara LGA.

Bello Gidi, media aide to the Agwara LGA Chairman, confirmed the scale of the assault:
“The information reaching us is that they have kidnapped over 100 students and teachers. It is a mixed school with boys and girls.”

The attack in Niger State came just five days after terrorists invaded Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Kebbi State, kidnapping about 25 female students and killing at least one staff member. A school guard was also injured during the early-morning raid, which was accompanied by sporadic gunfire.
