About the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship

The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme supports exceptional first-year students enrolled in Nigerian universities for the 2025/2026 academic session. NLNG encourages applications from all eligible students, including Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs).


Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen residing in Nigeria.

  • Be a full-time first-year undergraduate student in a federal or state-owned university for the 2024/2025 academic session.

  • Have at least five O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, in one sitting (WASC, SSCE, or NECO).

  • Be between 18 and 25 years old at the time of application.

  • Not be a recipient of any other scholarship, bursary, or grant.

  • Not be a spouse, child, or direct relative of an NLNG staff member.

Selected students will receive ₦300,000 per year, renewable based on academic performance.

  • Recent passport photograph (white background, 450px x 450px, max 200kb)

  • O-Level and UTME results

  • JAMB admission letter and university student ID

  • Birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission

  • Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification

  • National ID Number (NIN) slip
