Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to life imprisonment.
The judgment was delivered in Kanu’s absence after he insisted that he would not participate in the proceedings concerning the terrorism charges brought against him by the Federal Government.
Details of the court proceedings indicate that the ruling followed Kanu’s conviction on multiple counts of terrorism-related offenses.
