Youths from the Oke-Ogun region of Oyo State under the aegis of the League of Oke-Ogun Youths, (LOY), have commended Prince Kola Asatola Asanike, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for his consistent empathy and concern for the welfare of the underprivileged in the society.
Spotted in Ibadan as guests at the 80th birthday of the All Progressive Congress (APC) leader, Chief Kunle Sanda on Saturday, the youths praised Asanike’s continued commitment to improving the lives of ordinary citizens especially youths, through his humanitarian gestures and people-centred leadership style.
The youths, led by Mr. Jide Olawuyi who hails from Saki said Prince Asanike has demonstrated uncommon compassion and social responsibility by constantly identifying with the struggles of the poor and supporting initiatives aimed at uplifting disadvantaged groups across the state.
“Not less than twenty five National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members benefited recently from Asatola Asanike’s free poultry empowerment programme. He did this in Ibadan and he’s also coming to Oke-Ogun for similar intention,’ Olawuyi said.
The youths described Assnike as a leader who feels the pulse of the people, noting that his interventions in education, health, youth empowerment have made significant impact not only in Oke-Ogun as a community but across Oyo State.
“Prince Kola Asanike’s actions are often silent achievements which reflect genuine leadership built on empathy and service. He has shown that politics can be a tool for compassion and not just competition,” another youth, Mrs Haminat Afonja said
The youths further commended Asanike’s accessibility, humility, and consistent advocacy for youth inclusion in governance, urging other political leaders to emulate his example by prioritizing human development and community welfare above personal interests.
