The Mastercard Foundation, in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), invites applications for the 2026 Mastercard Foundation–ASU Online Scholarship, a fully funded program designed to empower young African leaders to drive change through innovation, education, and community service.

This initiative offers selected scholars the opportunity to pursue professional graduate certificates online, complemented by in-person support in Rwanda through Kepler College. The program targets highly motivated Africans committed to using their education for ethical leadership and social impact.

Applicants must:

Be African citizens aged 18–33 years

Hold a Bachelor’s degree by July 2026

Meet ASU’s admission requirements

Demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service

Have no prior graduate degree (started or completed)
-
Be willing to reside in Rwanda for the in-person component
-
Commit to applying their knowledge toward community development and ethical leadership
