As the world marks World Teachers’ Day today, October 5, Oyo State APC chieftain and philanthropist, Prince Kola Asanike, has extended warm felicitations to teachers across Oyo State and Nigeria at large, celebrating their immense contributions to education and nation-building.
In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Prince Asanike described teachers as “the true builders of society whose labour shapes every profession and future generation.” He noted that no nation can rise above the quality of its teachers, emphasizing that their dedication, patience, and sacrifice remain the foundation of national progress.

“Teachers are the torchbearers of knowledge and moral values. They nurture the minds that go on to become leaders, innovators, and change-makers. On this special day, I salute every teacher in Oyo State for their resilience and unwavering commitment to shaping lives, even in the face of challenges,” he said.
Prince Asanike also used the opportunity to call for better welfare and improved working conditions for teachers, stressing that the government at all levels must continue to prioritize education and support those who deliver it.

“We must reward and respect the teaching profession the same way we honour other essential roles in society. A motivated teacher produces an enlightened and productive generation,” he added.
He further reaffirmed his personal commitment to supporting education through various philanthropic interventions, scholarships, and community development initiatives aimed at empowering both teachers and students in Oyo State.

While congratulating teachers once again, Prince Kola Asanike urged them to remain steadfast in their calling, assuring them that their efforts are not in vain.
“Your impact goes beyond the classroom; it echoes through time. On behalf of myself and all well-meaning citizens of Oyo State, I say a heartfelt thank you, and happy World Teachers’ Day.”
