Oke-Ogun Politicians Congratulate New Olubadan on Eve of Coronation

As the installation of Senator Rasheed Ladoja as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland draws near, prominent political leaders from Oke-Ogun have joined others in paying tribute to the monarch-elect.

Chief Femi Durodola, the Agoro of Okakaland and former senior special assistant , SSA, on Transport to the late governor Abiola Ajimobi, and Chief Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan, a former Oyo State head of service, have extended greetings to Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, congratulating him on his ascension to the exalted Olubadan seat.

In a statement made available to journalists, Chief Durodola, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, described Ladoja’s ascension to the throne as “a divine revelation ordained by God to establish a new phase of growth and development across Yorubaland.”

He noted that the new Olubadan’s experience as a former senator and governor would be instrumental in driving initiatives that would further influence the growth of democracy in Nigeria. Durodola described the new Olubadan as a “gift from God.”

“We believe that the people of Ibadanland will appreciate this gift from God,” Chief Durodola said, noting that “the coming Olubadan is a genius himself, and his ascension to the throne is a divine revelation that will bring about a new era of growth and development to all residents of Ibadanland.”

Ogunesan, another chieftain of the APC on the other hand, described Senator Ladoja as “a dependable, charismatic, and lover of the masses.” She noted that his record as a politician was a worthy example that could be adopted as a template for public growth.

“His ascension to the throne is a design by God who has decided to place him for the purpose of His people,” Chief Ogunesan who is also, an aspirant for the Oyo North Senatorial seat said. “We pray that God grants him good health and the strength to rule the people for a very long time.”

Both Chief Durodola and Chief Ogunesan advised Ibadan indigenes to rally behind the new Olubadan and support him in his endeavours.

“As the predecessors of the new king were supported by Ibadan people, nothing should be left to support the new Olubadan to succeed,” they said in separate statements.

The congratulatory messages from these prominent Oke-Ogun leaders are a proof to the high esteem in which Senator Ladoja is held, and they underscore the significance of his ascension to the throne of the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
