Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Sanku, has died in a fatal car crash just hours after sharing a haunting message on TikTok.

The rising entertainer posted: “When it is time for us to enjoy what we worked hard for, may we never lose our lives,” on his page shortly before the accident that claimed his life.

The crash occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025, along Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, leaving several passengers injured. Sanku and another victim were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but the comedian was later confirmed dead.

His death was confirmed by fellow skit maker, Ozain Comedy, who wrote on Instagram: “Rest well, soldier.” Influencer Jidex also reacted on TikTok with the message: “Rest in peace.”
Sanku, who started his comedy career in 2021, shot to prominence in 2024 with his unique skits and originality, amassing over one million TikTok followers. His creativity and relatability made him one of Nigeria’s most beloved online comedy talents.

Tributes have since poured in across social media platforms as fans, colleagues, and influencers mourn the tragic loss of the young star whose career was only just taking off.
