Nigerian School Shines Globally, Bags 31 Cambridge Awards

Lifeforte International High School, Ibadan, has emerged as one of the biggest winners at the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards organised by the British Council, clinching a total of 31 awards at the prestigious ceremony held on Thursday at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The annual event, which celebrates excellence, determination, and resilience among Nigerian students undertaking Cambridge Assessment International Education courses, saw Lifeforte students dominate the stage with record-breaking performances.

Leading the pack was Momoreoluwa Adeola Afolabi, who emerged the overall best performer of the evening, securing nine individual awards. She won Top in the World in Economics, Best Overall in Eight Subjects – 1st in Nigeria, and Top in Nigeria in English Language and Biology. In addition, she earned High Achievement awards in Business Studies, Sociology, Literature in English, Accounting, and Economics.

Expressing her gratitude, Afolabi said:

“This recognition is much appreciated. It’s not so much the awards themselves but the process, the commitment, and the support that made it possible. I thank my teachers, parents, and God for this success.”

Other Lifeforte award winners included Israel Sule, Daniel Taiwo, Oluwaseyi Iwayemi, Nathaniel Aibangbee, Oluwatamilore Oyekan, Divine Adeniyi, Temitayo Olukoya, Joel Taiwo, Harmony Kama, Okeoghene Udezi, and Akindayomi Akinola.

The British Council described the awards as a platform to acknowledge not just academic excellence but also the effort, discipline, and perseverance of students who go the extra mile in their studies.
