APC Chieftain, Prince Kola Asanike, Felicitates Oyo People on Isese Day

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Prince Kola Asanike, has extended warm greetings to the people of Oyo State and Nigerians at large as they mark this year’s Isese Day celebration.

Prince Asanike, described Isese Day as a moment of cultural pride, spiritual reflection, and an opportunity for unity among the Yoruba people.

In his goodwill message, the APC stalwart commended the governments of Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos States for recognizing the day as a public holiday, noting that such gestures affirm the importance of cultural heritage in building a cohesive society.

“Isese Day reminds us of who we are as a people, the values we inherited from our forebears, and the need to preserve our traditions while embracing modern development,” Prince Asanike said.

He urged the people of Oyo State to use the occasion to pray for peace, prosperity, and progress in the state and Nigeria at large. He also called for mutual respect and tolerance among adherents of all faiths, emphasizing that cultural celebrations should serve as a unifying force rather than a dividing line.

Prince Asanike further expressed his commitment to contributing to the economic and social advancement of Ibadanland and Oyo State, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and cultural harmony.

The annual Isese Day, observed on August 20, is dedicated to celebrating Yoruba traditional religion, culture, and values.
