Barely 24 hours after a fire incident gutted its head office, Fresh FM Nigeria has announced its return to the airwaves, reassuring listeners of its resilience and commitment to broadcasting.
The management, in a statement, confirmed that despite the huge losses recorded at Music House, Challenge, Ibadan, operations have resumed across its frequencies.

“After a challenging period due to the recent fire outbreak, we are thrilled to announce that we are back on air,” the statement read.
“Thanks to the incredible support from our team, emergency services, and you — our loyal audience, we’ve overcome this hurdle stronger than ever. Stay Fresh .”

The fire, which occurred on Friday evening, August 15, 2025, razed parts of the building housing Fresh 105.9 FM and Blast 98.3 FM, including studios, the newsroom, transmitter/server room, and other key offices.

In an earlier confirmation, Samson Akindele, Group Head of Corporate Affairs, described the incident as a “devastating loss” but noted that the full extent of the damage is still being assessed. He commended residents, passersby, and Oyo State Fire Service officials for their swift response in combating the flames after staff efforts failed to contain it.
The cause of the inferno remains unknown.
