Asanike Sympathises with Ayefele, Fresh FM Staff Over Fire Outbreak

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and governorship aspirant, Prince Kola Asatola Asanike, has commiserated with gospel singer and broadcaster, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, as well as the staff and management of Fresh FM Ibadan, following the fire outbreak that gutted parts of the station’s Music House complex in Ibadan.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Asanike described the incident as “a painful setback, not only for Ayefele and his team but also for the entire media and entertainment community in Oyo State.”

He praised Fresh FM for its consistency in providing quality broadcasting, cultural promotion, and youth empowerment, noting that the station has become a household name and a pride of Ibadan.

“I stand in solidarity with Dr. Ayefele and the Fresh FM family at this difficult time. The fire is a tragic loss, but I am confident that, just as they have risen stronger from past challenges, they will bounce back again. Fresh FM’s light cannot be dimmed,” Asanike said.

The APC chieftain further urged government, private organisations, and well-meaning Nigerians to rally around Fresh FM with support that would enable the station to recover swiftly from the incident.

“This is not just about one man’s effort. Fresh FM has become a public institution that touches lives daily. It deserves our collective support to rebuild,” he added.

Asanike concluded by extending prayers for renewed strength to Ayefele and his team, expressing optimism that the station will soon return to the airwaves stronger than ever.
