A tragic accident in Puerto Inca, Peru, has claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman and left her 27-year-old boyfriend in critical condition after they both fell from the second floor of a bar.
The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, following an argument between the couple. The woman, identified as Emely Fiorela Mego Díaz, reportedly attempted to hug her boyfriend, Henry Manuel del Águila Macedo, during the dispute.
Surveillance footage shows her approaching him aggressively, leading to both of them losing balance and falling from a section of the floor that lacked protective railings.
Local reports indicate that Ms. Mego Díaz, who is believed to have worked at the bar, died instantly from the fall. Her boyfriend sustained multiple severe injuries and was first taken to a local health centre before being transferred to a hospital for further treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
