The Federal Government has issued a stern warning that it will revoke the licence of any airline that transports renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, following his disruptive behaviour at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The threat was made on Thursday by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who described the artist’s actions as “totally unacceptable” and likened them to a “hostage situation.”
According to Keyamo, reports and video evidence submitted by aviation agencies revealed that KWAM 1 physically blocked a ValueJet aircraft from taxiing for takeoff on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in protest over a boarding disagreement.

“Contrary to the claims by his representatives, he constantly moved his position on the tarmac to actually block the aircraft from taking position on the runway. This is unacceptable behaviour that could have resulted in serious fatalities,” the minister said.
The altercation began when the musician allegedly attempted to board the flight with a flask containing liquid above the permitted limit. Despite repeated warnings from aviation security and the flight crew, he reportedly resisted inspection and proceeded to the front of the aircraft, refusing to comply with instructions.
Keyamo, while condemning the actions of both the singer and the pilot involved, faulted the crew’s decision to begin taxiing without first ensuring that the disruptive passenger had been safely removed from the tarmac.
He praised the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for suspending the pilot’s licence but demanded that equivalent disciplinary measures be applied to KWAM 1.
“What applies to the goose must also apply to the gander. I have directed the NCAA to place KWAM 1 on a no-fly list pending full investigation. All airlines, both domestic and international, are to be informed immediately, and any carrier that flouts this directive risks withdrawal of their operating licence,” Keyamo warned.
