18-Year-Old Yamal Faces Backlash Over Inviting Women with ‘Specific Breast Size’ to Birthday Party

The Spanish government has demanded a formal investigation into Barcelona football sensation Lamine Yamal’s recent 18th birthday party following public outrage over claims of exploitation of people with dwarfism and the objectification of women based on body type.

The party, which reportedly had a mafia theme and was held on July 13, hosted over 200 guests, including teammates, friends, and family. But it has come under fire after Claudio Calvo, a social media model, alleged that Yamal paid for the presence of 12 women with a “certain breast size” to attend, and hired individuals with dwarfism for entertainment.

The Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) has condemned the event and is threatening legal action. The group called the act degrading and a violation of the dignity of people with disabilities, describing the entertainment choice as “deeply offensive and discriminatory.”

The Spanish Ministry of Social Rights and Disability, led by Jesús Martín, has also intervened, calling for ministers to authorise a full-scale probe into the incident. Martín expressed concerns over the message such acts send to impressionable youth, especially as Yamal is seen as a role model by millions of young football fans.

“We are concerned that people with money, people with power, believe themselves to be unpunished. The law is for everyone—for the humble and for the powerful,” Martín stated.

If found guilty of violating disability rights laws and ethical codes, Yamal could face a fine of up to £867,000, according to reports by Spanish media outlet Marca.

The ADEE’s statement strongly condemned the party, declaring:
“These actions violate not only current legislation but also the fundamental ethical values of a society that seeks to be egalitarian and respectful.”

As backlash grows across social media and human rights groups weigh in, the young footballer and his management are yet to issue a formal response.
