Tanzanian-Nigerian singer Juma Jux has revealed the heartfelt journey behind his wife, Priscilla Ojo’s conversion to Islam, describing it as a deeply personal and challenging process guided by patience, love, and religious mentorship.
In an interview with Afrik Media, Juma shared that it was initially difficult persuading Priscilla, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, to embrace the Islamic faith. He admitted to seeking the guidance of religious scholars, who helped him understand how to approach the sensitive topic with care and respect.
“It was a little difficult convincing my wife to become a Muslim,” Jux admitted. “On the other hand, I was receiving lessons from religious leaders. There was a way they were teaching me about how to convince her, and with time, she understood.”

Juma also opened up about their wedding, saying he had dreamt of it long before it happened and described it as a spiritual confirmation of finding someone who shares the same vision. “I knew everything when it came to my wedding. I had a dream about it. I was so lucky to find someone who wants the same thing as I.”
In recent weeks, Juma has publicly celebrated his relationship with Priscilla, calling her the “best wife” during a behind-the-scenes moment of his music video God Design. He lauded her unwavering support and said her presence in his life has brought clarity and joy.
During their traditional wedding, Juma pledged not only his love to Priscilla but also his respect and commitment to her parents. He promised to care for Iyabo Ojo and her ex-husband and to bring them to Tanzania when the couple begins expanding their family.
On Priscilla’s 24th birthday in March, Juma wrote a touching tribute, saying, “Since she came into my life, everything started making sense. She has coloured my life in ways I can’t put into words. I’m just happy I get to spend this day as her husband.”
