Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has expressed deep gratitude after a fire broke out at her office building on the evening of Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
The movie star took to her Instagram page to confirm the incident, revealing that the fire started around 7 p.m. Sharing a video of the charred aftermath, Ojo thanked the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for their swift response in containing the blaze and salvaging what was left.
“This just happened today, the 8th of July 2025, around 7pm. My office building caught fire. Thank you to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us today, but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better,” she wrote.
The cause of the fire is yet to be disclosed, but no casualties were reported.
This unfortunate incident adds to a growing list of fire outbreaks affecting Nigerian entertainers. In recent years, several celebrities have faced similar tragedies. Yoruba actress Bose Alao recently survived a house fire and shared the ordeal with fans, while Mercy Aigbe lost her Lagos mansion in a blaze last year.
