Applications are now open for the prestigious 2026 United Nations Nippon Foundation Fellowship, a fully funded 9-month program offering professionals from developing countries advanced training in ocean affairs, international law, and sustainable development.
The highly competitive fellowship, supported by the United Nations and funded by The Nippon Foundation of Japan, is designed to build future leaders who will contribute meaningfully to global policy and governance in marine-related fields.
Participants will engage in two structured phases: an academic research phase at a leading partner university and a hands-on placement at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
