Vice Chancellors of Nigerian universities have agreed on 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into universities for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The decision was reached on Tuesday through a voice vote during the ongoing Policy Meeting on Admissions held in Abuja. The session was supervised by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.
At the same meeting, stakeholders approved a minimum score of 100 for admission into polytechnics, colleges of education, and colleges of agriculture. Meanwhile, colleges of nursing adopted 140 as the minimum entry point.
The annual policy meeting, attended by heads of tertiary institutions and education stakeholders, sets the guidelines for the year’s admission process across Nigeria’s higher education system.
More details are expected to emerge as the meeting progresses.
