APPLY NOW: Oyo Assembly Begins Massive Job Recruitment

The Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission has officially announced the commencement of its online recruitment exercise, calling on qualified Nigerians to apply for various administrative, technical, and legislative positions within the state’s legislative service.

The application portal is now live at https://jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, and will remain open from Monday, July 7 to Monday, July 14, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Femi Julius Okedoyin, the initiative is part of the state government’s effort to strengthen democratic governance through the recruitment of qualified professionals and youths into key roles.

“This recruitment underscores the commitment of the Oyo State Government to build a competent legislative workforce and create more job opportunities for citizens,” Hon. Okedoyin said.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the portal early, review the specific job requirements, and ensure they submit complete and accurate documentation before the deadline.

Key Positions Open for Application Include:

• Administrative Officer II (GL.08) – Degree in Social Sciences, Law or Humanities + ASCON PSE (2023–2025)

• Accountant II (GL.08) – Degree in Accounting + ASCON PSE

• Information & Public Relations Officer II (GL.08) – Degree in Arts, Journalism or Social Sciences + ASCON PSE

• Legislative Counsel I (GL.09) – Qualified Barrister and Solicitor

• Legislative Officer II, Official Reporter, Librarian II, Budget Officer II, Sergeant-At-Arms (GL.08) – Relevant degree + ASCON PSE

• Higher Executive Officers (GL.08) – HND holders in various fields including Mass Communication, Business Admin, Accounting

• Assistant Executive Officers, Confidential Secretaries, Store Officers (GL.06) – OND in related disciplines

• Clerical and Technical Roles (GL.04–GL.03) – SSCE or Junior School Certificate with trade certifications

• Motor Drivers, Watchmen, Gardeners (GL.03–GL.02) – JSCE and physical fitness

All applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Lower degree or Lower Credit in HND, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, Certificate of Origin, birth certificate or declaration of age, and primary school leaving certificate.
