The Nigeria government has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy to launch a nationwide digital skills development programme for Nigerian educators and students, offering free access to top-tier training in cloud computing, AI, and other emerging tech fields.
Spearheaded by the Federal Ministry of Education under Hon. Minister Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, the initiative is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI)—a drive to modernize Nigeria’s learning systems and bridge the country’s digital divide.
“This programme is both timely and transformative,” Dr. Alausa said. “It will empower our students and educators to thrive in the digital economy.”
