HelpMum, a leading health innovation organization, is hosting a Maternal Health Hackathon aimed at tackling some of Nigeria’s most pressing maternal and infant health challenges. The initiative seeks fresh, tech-driven solutions from Nigeria’s vibrant tech community—particularly students and young professionals skilled in software development and Artificial Intelligence.

Who Can Apply?

• Students, recent graduates, and tech community members with AI/software development skills

• Must be resident in Nigeria

• 18 years or older

• Open to all genders

• Apply individually or in teams (maximum of 3 members)

🏆 1st Place: ₦2,000,000
🥈 2nd Place: ₦1,500,000
🥉 3rd Place: ₦1,000,000

Participation Process

Step 1: Pitch Application
Submit a 2-minute video pitching your innovative solution for maternal or infant health.

Step 2: Development Stage
Selected participants will enter the development phase, with access to expert mentorship and guidance.

Step 3: Grand Finale
Finalists will pitch their fully developed solutions live at HelpMum’s Lagos office.

Key Guidelines

• Solutions must be low-cost and practical for local implementation

• Proof of Concept (PoC) is required; having a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a plus

• Participants must agree to the legal terms and conditions

• Mentorship will be provided by seasoned industry experts

• Internship opportunities available for outstanding participants
