This global initiative offers early-career researchers from low- and middle-income countries the chance to collaborate with international institutions to advance research and care in multiple sclerosis (MS).
The fellowship provides €55,000 per year, covering travel, living costs, and a contribution to the host institution, enabling researchers to build expertise, establish global networks, and return to improve MS research and patient care in their home countries.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the 2026 McDonald Fellowship, applicants must:

Hold at least a postgraduate degree (MSc, preferably PhD/MD) in a relevant MS research field.

Be working or studying in a qualifying country or engaged in a recent international research project (within 6 months).
