Excitement is reaching fever pitch in Ibadan as Afrobeat sensation Spyro prepares to return to the University of Ibadan (UI), his alma mater, for a live concert tagged “A Beautiful Experience UI” tomorrow, Friday, July 4, 2025.
The event, which will take place at the SUB Pitch, is being organized by TAP Music Entertainment in collaboration with the UI Students’ Union and the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS). It promises an electrifying night of music, memories, and homegrown star power.
Spyro, born Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, is a proud Uite who rose to national fame in 2022 with the hit single “Billing” and later achieved viral success with “Who Is Your Guy?”, featuring Tiwa Savage on the remix. His growing catalogue includes collaborations with big names like Davido, Mayorkun, Dremo, and Diamond Platnumz.
Now the CEO of TAP Music Entertainment, Spyro’s return to UI is not just a concert — it’s a symbolic homecoming and celebration of his journey from student to superstar. The show is expected to attract thousands of students and fans from across Oyo State.
