President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria on Tuesday received Her Majesty Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark during a high-profile diplomatic visit to the State House in Abuja.
The Danish monarch was warmly welcomed at the President’s official residence by President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu. The visit, which underscores the strengthening ties between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Denmark, featured a closed-door meeting, the details of which were yet to be made public at the time of reporting.
Also present at the reception were top government officials, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.
Queen Mary Elizabeth was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Ole Bach Hansen.
