WINGS, the world’s leading network for philanthropy support and development organizations, is inviting applications for its Remote Research Fellowship—a short-term, paid opportunity aimed at enhancing global understanding of the philanthropy support ecosystem.

About the Fellowship
The Research Fellow will play a key role in a major research initiative focused on mapping and analyzing WINGS’ global membership and their broader ecosystems. The outcomes of this work will guide the network’s strategic planning and support initiatives aimed at increasing philanthropic impact worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a clear research methodology and data collection framework.
Conduct detailed desk research and analyze member data.
Address information gaps through direct outreach to members.
Prepare a summary of findings in the form of a presentation and report.
Fellowship Details
Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
Workload: 2–3 days per week (approx. 16–24 hours/week)
Mode: Fully remote, open to global applicants
Compensation: Paid; stipend based on cost of living in the applicant’s country
Who Should Apply?
WINGS is seeking applicants who are:
Fluent in English with strong writing and communication skills
Interested in philanthropy, civil society, or nonprofit work
Experienced or familiar with research (academic or professional)
Independent, collaborative, and comfortable working remotely
Digitally proficient with reliable internet access
Globally minded and culturally sensitive
Enrolled in a related academic program (preferred but not required)
