Young Africans passionate about biodiversity and environmental protection are invited to apply for the African Youth Biodiversity Summit 2025, set to take place from October 20–22, 2025, in Kigali, Rwanda. Applications are now open and will close on July 5, 2025.
Organized by the Global Youth Biodiversity Network – Africa (GYBN Africa), in collaboration with partners such as the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), GYBN Rwanda, GYBN Niger, and the IUCN Nature-based Solutions Hub, the summit is supported by the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA).

More than 100 youth leaders from across Africa will be selected to attend, including students, researchers, conservationists, biologists, environmental activists, and representatives of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs).
