Applications Open for 2025 NNPC/Chevron Scholarship for Nigerian University Students

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), in partnership with Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), has officially opened the application portal for the 2025 edition of its annual undergraduate scholarship programme.

Aimed at supporting the academic pursuits of talented Nigerian students across all 36 states and the FCT, the NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture Scholarship offers an annual award of ₦200,000 to eligible full-time students enrolled in accredited Nigerian universities.

This long-standing scholarship initiative represents a key pillar of Chevron’s strategic social investment in Nigeria’s education sector and underscores its commitment to national development through human capital advancement.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

Be currently enrolled full-time as second-year (200 level) students in any Nigerian university.
Have gained admission in the 2023/2024 academic session.
Be studying any of the approved courses (listed below).
Possess a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or its equivalent).
Hold at least six O’Level credits obtained in a single sitting.
Additionally, a special category exists for blind/visually impaired students, also in 200 level, studying any course. These applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and five O’Level credits.

Successful candidates will receive an annual sum of ₦200,000 for the duration of their undergraduate programme, provided they maintain academic excellence.

Student ID card
Admission letter
Birth certificate
WAEC/NECO result
JAMB result
LGA certificate of origin

Fill out your personal, academic, and contact details.
Upload all required documents.
