The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has officially announced the commencement of registration for its highly anticipated campus pageantry contest, Mr & Miss Poly 2025, exclusively for ND1 and HND1 students.
Organized under the current SUG administration’s theme of “Era of Ultimate Welfarism”, led by Comrade Oladipupo Olamide Daniel (popularly known as TopBoy), the event aims to foster confidence, creativity, and campus spirit among first-year National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students.
According to a statement from the office of the SUG Social Directors, the contest is both a reward and recognition platform for students who wish to showcase their style, personality, and poise in a fun, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere.
“It’s not just a competition, it’s a celebration of the new faces of Poly Ibadan. We want to reward elegance, talent, and confidence, and create lasting memories for the newest members of our community,” said Comr. Abdul-Salam Sodiq Damola (DC), SUG Social Director 1.
His counterpart, Comr. Edube Alice Alo, SUG Social Director 2, added: “The event is also an opportunity for bonding, networking, and discovering new talents across departments. We encourage interested ND1 and HND1 students to step forward and represent their faculties proudly.”
Registration is now open, with an entry fee of ₦3,000. Interested students are advised to contact either of the Social Directors for registration details and sponsorship enquiries:
