Farooq Oreagba, the man who lit up social media last year with his stylish and regal presence at the Ojude Oba Festival, has returned for the 2025 edition — and once again, he’s turning heads and setting the standard for cultural elegance.

Oreagba, who went viral in 2024 for his iconic image of riding a horse with unshakable poise — one hand on the reins, the other gripping a cigar — earned the nickname “Mr Steeze” for his effortless blend of Yoruba royalty and fashion-forward flair. His image became a symbol of confidence, class, and the enduring power of tradition.

Now, in 2025, “The King of Steeze” is back — and he’s done it again.

Clad in a rich, brown aso-oke agbada and sokoto ensemble designed by Rhobes Official, Oreagba’s look was elevated by bold accessories: silver Cuban link chains, rings, and a striking gold lion-head staff, blending ancestral pride with modern-day swagger. His look not only paid homage to Yoruba culture but made a powerful style statement that has again taken social media by storm.

“Ojude Oba is about honour, tradition, and expression,” Farooq said in a brief chat with photographers after his entrance. “I just choose to show up as myself — proud, grounded in heritage, and stylish.”

This year’s Ojude Oba Festival, held as always in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, is a grand post-Eid celebration where indigenes gather to pay homage to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, and celebrate Ijebu heritage. Attendees often arrive in coordinated outfits, horse-riding Balogun families parade with fanfare, and the Regberegbe age grades compete in displays of dance, wealth, and loyalty.

Oreagba’s appearance has once again become one of the most talked-about highlights of the festival. Social media platforms have lit up with praise and admiration for his regal look and effortless charm.

“This is how to represent culture and charisma,” one user tweeted. “Farooq is not just attending the festival; he’s owningit.”

As Ojude Oba continues to evolve as a global cultural spectacle, Farooq Oreagba’s recurring presence serves as a reminder that tradition and personal style are not mutually exclusive — and when the two meet, legends are born.
