The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) is currently accepting applications for its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, an initiative designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
The FME TVET Initiative offers fully funded training programs, ₦45,000 monthly stipends, start-up kits upon graduation, and nationally/internationally recognized certificates.
What is the FME TVET Initiative?
The FME TVET program is a flagship Federal Government effort to reduce unemployment and equip Nigerians—regardless of their educational background—with life-transforming technical skills. Managed by the Ministry of Education, the programme targets job seekers, school leavers, fresh graduates, and even individuals without formal education.
TVET Programme Options
Applicants can choose from two major pathways:

Short-Term Certificate (STC) Programme (6 months)
For beginners or individuals with little to no formal education. -
Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI) Programme (1 year)
For those with some prior educational or informal training experience.

Step 1:
Visit the official FME TVET portal at tvet.education.gov.ng
Step 2:
Click “Apply” and proceed to the NIN verification page. Enter your NIN and Date of Birth.
Step 3:
Provide your phone number and valid email address. A verification code will be sent to your phone. After verifying, your TVET account will be created.
Step 4:
Login and choose your preferred programme:
