President Donald Trump stirred fresh controversy on Saturday night after sharing a post on Truth Social claiming that former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced with clones.
The post, originally made by a fringe account on the platform, read, “There is no Joe Biden – executed in 2020. Biden clones, doubles, and robotic engineered soulless, mindless entities are what you see. Democrats don’t know the difference.” The post also included several conspiracy-related hashtags.
President Trump did not add his own words but amplified the post by sharing it directly from his personal Truth Social account.
The White House has not responded to requests for comment, and neither has the Biden family.
The resurfacing of such conspiracy theories comes just days after it was revealed that former President Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones — a condition that typically develops over a number of years.
Speculation over Biden’s health has gained traction in some conservative circles, with claims suggesting that key members of the Democratic Party may have known about the illness but chose to suppress the information ahead of the 2024 election cycle.
Despite the bizarre post, President Trump later extended a public message of empathy to the Bidens, writing:
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
The Trump campaign has not clarified whether the president endorses the content of the clone conspiracy post or simply shared it for commentary.
Meanwhile, Trump’s social media activity continues to generate significant media attention as he doubles down on efforts to reframe political narratives, with posts also promoting his administration’s industrial policies and foreign stances.
