In a display of political support, posters endorsing Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for the 2027 presidential election have flooded strategic locations across Kano State. The campaign, spearheaded by the Nigeria Youths Awareness Group Makinde 2027 (NYAG Makinde 2027), marks a significant push to position Makinde as a leading contender in the upcoming general elections.
During a press briefing in Kano, NYAG’s National Secretary, Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi, emphasized the group’s commitment to Makinde’s candidacy, stating that after extensive consultations with youth organizations and political stakeholders, they are united in their support. “We are a moving train, and nothing can stop us until we achieve our objective of a Makinde presidency,” Abdullahi declared.
The group has initiated a widespread mobilization campaign, producing thousands of posters, billboards, and handbills set to be distributed across northern states, including Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Borno, Yobe, and Gombe. This effort aims to galvanize support and build momentum for Makinde’s presidential bid.
NYAG cites Governor Makinde’s performance in Oyo State as a testament to his leadership capabilities, highlighting his dedication to good governance and improving the lives of citizens. They urge Nigerians across political and regional lines to rally behind Makinde, viewing his leadership as a pathway to a more progressive future.
As the 2027 elections approach, the emergence of such grassroots movements underscores the dynamic nature of Nigeria’s political landscape and the growing influence of youth-led initiatives in shaping the country’s future.
