Ekiti Leo, Emmanuel Oladokun, Emerges District President Of Leo District 404B2

In a significant moment for youth leadership and community service, Leo Emmanuel Boluwatife Oladokun, LCPAA, MGA, NLEF, NLCF, from Ekiti State, has been elected as the 12th District President of LEO District 404B2, Nigeria. His unveiling, which marked the beginning of the 2025/2026 Lion Service Year (LSY), was held on Saturday, May 19, 2025, at GMT Hotel in Osogbo, Osun State.

The event witnessed the presence of notable Lion leaders, past District Presidents, and Leos from across the district. It was an evening of celebration, inspiration, and renewed commitment to the values of leadership, service, and fellowship.

In his acceptance speech, President-elect Oladokun expressed profound gratitude and humility. “I am humbled to accept the opportunity to serve as the 12th President of LEO District 404B2, Nigeria, with a deep commitment to serving our great district. I am grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me and pledge to tirelessly uphold our organisation’s values and principles,” he said. He also paid tribute to past leaders whose sacrifices built the foundation of the district’s growth and development.

The theme for the incoming service year was unveiled as: “Innovative Leadership, Service Beyond Self.” Also revealed was the official logo for the 2025/2026 LSY — an arch with three edges symbolising Service, Leadership, and Friendship, encircled by rays of light. These rays represent the Leo Club’s impact, the hope they spread, and their guiding commitment to humanitarian service. The logo also includes abstract figures with outstretched hands, capturing the essence of inclusive service and collective action.

During the event, newly appointed District Officers were introduced to the audience. Core officers include the Immediate Past District President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, District Secretary, Treasurer, Chief of Staff, Chief of Protocol, Director of Welfare, Administrator, and Deputies, among others.

Outlining his vision, Leo Oladokun emphasized:

  • Positive leadership and empowerment

  • An effective Global Action Team

  • Cross-sector partnerships and collaborations

  • Cross-border fellowship

  • Strong marketing and communication strategy

His mission also incorporates core values such as Accountability, Accessibility, Welfare, and Quality Service. He reiterated the district’s alignment with Lions International’s global causes, which include: Diabetes, Hunger Relief, Vision, Environment, Pediatric Cancer, Youth Development, Humanitarian Service, and Disaster Relief.

In his closing remarks, the District President-elect acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed firm confidence in the collective strength of the Leos in the district. “With commitment, passion, and unity, not only will our goals be achieved, but we will also inspire the next generation of leaders,” he said.

He urged all Leos in District 404B2 to embrace the theme with zeal and intentionality. “Let us lead innovatively and serve selflessly, knowing our efforts will leave lasting impacts in our communities and hearts. I am more ready than ever to develop our LEO program and increase the capacity of our district through service and purposeful leadership,” he added.

Leo Oladokun also called on Lions and LEO leaders across the district, including Past District Presidents, to rally around sustainable development goals and ensure the new service year is one marked by impactful milestones and legacy-driven leadership.
