“I’m a Bonafide Member of Celestial Church, I Built a Parish” — K1 Opens Up on His Faith Journey

Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has revealed that he is not only a member of the Celestial Church of Christ but has also built a parish of the church. The revelation, which came during a pre-recorded interview with Agbaletu TV, has since sparked reactions across religious and entertainment circles.

“I attend Celestial church. I am a bonafide member of the Celestial Church. A proud one. In fact, I built a church,” K1 declared.
He further explained, “I sought different religions while trying to know God in both popular religions. There’s nowhere I didn’t try to find God.”

K1, a Muslim by background, said his journey to understanding God led him to Christianity and specifically to the Celestial Church, a denomination within the Aladura movement known for its white garments and strict spiritual discipline.

The statement follows recent controversy stirred by the veteran musician’s viral use of the phrase “Ganusi” during a conversation referencing Islamic clerics, which many interpreted as dismissive. While backlash ensued, K1 remained unapologetic, insisting he meant no harm.
