Beyond his academic and leadership accomplishments, Ahmed is a passionate Antimicrobial Resistance Advocate, championing health equity and social justice. According to him, “every individual has the right to live a healthy, dignified life,” and he believes that everyone has a role to play in advancing public health through collective action.
His research interests lie at the intersection of Antimicrobial Resistance, Public Health, and One Health, with a particular focus on emerging zoonotic diseases and their impact on global health. Through his research and advocacy, Ahmed is contributing to critical conversations around the future of disease prevention and health sustainability on the African continent and beyond.
