Amoo Oyinkan Launches Teen Mentorship Initiative to Prevent Generational Mistakes

In a heartfelt move to bridge the gap between youthful ambition and lived experience, Amoo Oyinkan has launched a personal mentorship initiative aimed at guiding teenagers through the challenges of adolescence, an effort she believes could have profoundly changed the course of her own journey.

Sharing the motivation behind the project, Oyinkan said, “The reason I am doing this is to help teenagers not to make the same mistakes we made while growing up. I could have done better if there was someone to guide me aside from my mother.”

Her words reflect a deeply emotional truth shared by many young adults: the absence of accessible, relatable mentorship during critical stages of growth.

While she acknowledges the support of her mother, Oyinkan now sees the need for a broader network of guidance, especially in a digital age where teenagers are constantly navigating peer pressure, misinformation, and the ever-growing influence of social media.

The initiative, currently in its early stages, will feature mentorship workshops, open dialogue sessions on social media, and community outreach programs. Through these platforms, Oyinkan aims to create a safe space where teenagers can connect with relatable role models, engage in honest conversations, and access practical life guidance.

“I don’t want anyone to feel alone or misguided at a critical point in their life,” she emphasized. “If I can be the voice I didn’t have, then that’s a legacy worth building.”

Instagram serves as her primary hub for engaging with young audiences—hosting live sessions and posting reflective, conversation-starting content that resonates with teens and young adults alike.
