Portable Arrested Over Defamation Allegations by Fuji Star Saheed Osupa

Controversial street-hop musician, Habeeb Okikilola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has been arrested by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command following a petition by veteran Fuji artist Okunola Saheed, also known as Osupa.

According to a statement by the police spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the petition accused Portable of multiple offenses, including criminal defamation, threats to life, incitement, character assassination, use of offensive language, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

“In view of the gravity of these allegations and the supporting evidence presented, the command secured a valid arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court sitting in Ilorin,” the statement read. “Based on the warrant, operatives proceeded to Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday, 13th April 2025, where the suspect was apprehended at about 7:25 p.m. He was subsequently brought to Ilorin for further investigation.”

The police confirmed that Portable’s statement was taken upon arrival in the presence of legal representatives from both parties. He remains in custody, with arrangements underway to formally charge him in court.

The arrest marks yet another controversy surrounding the singer, who has frequently made headlines for his public behavior and social media outbursts.
