The Polytechnic, Ibadan has announced that students will officially resume for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session on Monday, April 14, 2025.
In a statement released by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Joseph Adewumi Ogunjimi, and signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Soladoye Adewole, students are expected to begin registration immediately upon resumption. The registration exercise will run for two weeks, from Monday, April 14 to Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Students who miss the regular registration window will have access to late registration between Monday, April 28 and Friday, May 2, 2025, but with a penalty attached.
According to the academic calendar released by the institution, lectures will commence on Monday, April 21, and run through Friday, July 18, 2025, making up 13 weeks of academic activities. This will be followed by a one-week revision period from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25, 2025.
The second semester examinations are scheduled to hold from Monday, August 18 to Friday, September 12, 2025. Marking and grading of examination scripts will occur simultaneously within this period.
Post-examination activities include the faculties’ coordinating committee meetings to consider students’ results on Monday, September 15, 2025, followed by the Board of Studies (BOS) meeting, which will hold on Wednesday, September 17 and Thursday, September 18, 2025.
The semester will officially conclude on Friday, September 19, 2025.
The management has urged all students to adhere strictly to the academic schedule, complete their registration within the stipulated timeframe, and remain informed by visiting the institution’s official website or contacting their respective departments.
