The Muslim Community of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria is set to hold its 2025 Post-Ramadan Lecture, focusing on the theme: “Understanding the Centrality of Unity to Islamic Brotherhood in Nigeria and Beyond.”
The lecture, which promises to bring together scholars, students, and members of the Muslim community, will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Polytechnic Ibadan Central Mosque.
Renowned Islamic scholar and Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomosholand, Dr. Yunus Taliat Ayilara, will deliver the keynote lecture. The event aims to foster reflection on the significance of unity in strengthening Islamic brotherhood, especially within the context of Nigeria’s diverse religious and cultural landscape.
The Chief Host of the event is Dr. D.K. Ogunsesan, the Rector of The Polytechnic Ibadan, while Alhaji Engr. Tajudeen Adeyemi Amusat, the Chief Imam of the Polytechnic Central Mosque, will play host to attendees.
Organizers say the lecture is part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to promote peaceful coexistence, spiritual growth, and intellectual discourse within the academic community and beyond.
The event is open to all members of the public, particularly those interested in Islamic and community development.
