Google Opens Applications for 2025 PhD Fellowship Program with $30,000 Award

Google has officially opened applications for its prestigious 2025 PhD Fellowship Program, offering a financial award of up to $30,000 to exceptional graduate students pursuing doctoral research in computer science and related fields.

The program aims to recognize and support outstanding PhD candidates whose innovative research is poised to shape the future of technology. In addition to the monetary grant, selected fellows will receive mentorship from a Google Research expert to guide and enhance their academic journey.

Fellowship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates already receiving comparable industry awards are ineligible (government or nonprofit support is allowed).
• Google employees and their immediate family members are not eligible.
• Past Google PhD Fellowship recipients may not reapply.

Application Process:
Applicants from eligible regions—including Africa, Australia, Canada, East Asia, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the U.S.—must be nominated by their university.
