Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has made headlines once again, this time by openly rejecting condolence messages following the death of her father.
In a striking video shared on her social media platforms, Olunloyo expressed her feelings of anger and resentment, stating, “I’m not mourning my father—he ruined our lives.” Her comments shed light on a deeply traumatic childhood marked by emotional and physical abuse, alleged occult practices, and infidelity that ultimately fractured her family.
In her video, Kemi Olunloyo directed sympathizers to her late father’s Facebook page instead of accepting their condolences.
She recounted years of pain and suffering, accusing her father of destroying their family through a series of reckless decisions and abusive behavior. “He was selfish,” she lamented, revealing that his actions led to a horrific incident that left her younger brother paralyzed.
Recalling a particularly traumatic event, Olunloyo shared how her father’s negligence resulted in a life-altering tragedy. At the age of 13, her family was preparing for a trip to Lagos when her father delayed their departure, insisting he was at work despite her mother’s warnings against leaving late.
“We left late, and on the way, hoodlums attacked us,” she recounted. A rock was thrown into their vehicle, striking her 8-year-old brother, Tayo, and the driver, who died on impact.
The attackers then set the car ablaze with the children trapped inside, and while a rescuer managed to pull Kemi Olunloyo out, she suffered significant injuries in the process.
