Nigeria will host Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Victoria Désirée of Sweden, on an official visit from Monday, April 7 to Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The visit was confirmed in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, and signed by Acting Spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa.
The Crown Princess will meet with top Nigerian officials including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the Governor of Lagos State. A key highlight of the trip is the inauguration of the Swedish Trade Office in Lagos, which signifies a strategic step toward boosting bilateral trade relations.
The visit is aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and expanding cooperation in trade, sustainable development, gender equality, and cultural exchange between Nigeria and Sweden.
“This visit underscores the strong and cordial bilateral relations between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Sweden,” the ministry said, expressing optimism about the outcomes of the engagement.
