Suspended Nigerian Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has declared that she will soon present concrete evidence to support her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Speaking during a Thursday night interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Akpoti-Uduaghan stated her readiness to release the evidence at the appropriate time and forum.
“At the right time and at the right space, I will present the evidence that I have,” she said.
Her remarks come over a month after she publicly alleged that her long-standing conflict with Akpabio was rooted in her refusal to succumb to his sexual advances. She further claimed that this rejection led to systematic efforts to frustrate her attempts to move motions in the Senate, particularly those related to the Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State.
The embattled lawmaker also reacted to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) recent decision to dismiss a petition seeking her recall. Natasha described the move as “appropriate,” though she noted it came later than expected.
